Ok so I have a 2G Ipod Touch. I cant remember when this problem started, but I am hoping someone will have the answers to why this is happening. Well when I first got my Itouch I charged it through my PC, and that was about a year ago. I went and purchased a Griffin power block and started charging it through there with the USB cord that came with it. Then all the sudden my Itouch just stopped charging through the Griffin power block. It will still charge through my PC with the Griffin USB cord, but not with the USB cord that came with the Itouch. This morning I bought the Logitech Pure-Fi Anywhere 2 docking station and it will still not charge through that either. It will however charge through my Xbox 360 with the Griffin USB cord. Any ideas on why this is going on? I just cant leave my laptop on to charge my Ipod when I sleep. Thanks for the help!
I suspect something is dying. The PC and X-box have a bit more voltage so it is still charging with the extra voltage. How old is it? New disked Apple devices seem to only last about a year and a half before things start happening.
