http://www.google.com/search?q=3+broadband+linux The first 2 links appear relevant, in particular the whirlpool forum thread (also known as whingepool to some of us Aussies). You might have to read the entire threads to make sense of it, and be prepared to actually play around with it yourself.
varnull are you talking about me or OzMick if you are there would be somthing you need to know about me that i am dislecsick and can read not that bad but my spelling and grammer are very bad , and use a pen never can i do that. the pc is all i have got dont kill me for being dumb lol. ps no offence!
None taken or intended.. You will need to take extra care with command line tools. Possibly loading aspell backgrounded when running terminal applications will help for typos and spelling. Linux is really picky. Did you know.. you can change the backgrounds from white to yellow? (terminal→options)
no i am a noob to linux got to learn some way you got any tips for me and any site that hold linux guides and thing like that. do you think the site would benifit from starting a forum for linux bigginers. LIKE ME LOL
We normally point people to the home forums for whatever distro it is. In your case that would be http://ubuntuforums.org/ which has all you will (usually) ever need and more. We tend to be more of a "how and why" for odd hardware problems, a little bit of software hacking and general release news. No point really in just duplicating what has been said hundreds of times over across the internet.. We like odd problems, and things without obvious answers.. like your dongle problem. We may start a few new topics soon on phone software and running mac applications related to palm devices etc (tomtom and such)as we all have different skills and interests/needs, but it depends on time available as it is a pretty vast subject. Have fun.. you will probably find things which are easier, and things which seem at first glance impossible.. as always with linux.. Google is your best friend
