    1. Use DVD Shrink
    a) Author only the main movie with auto shrinking (Keeps only the main movie and quality to maximum)
    b) Put files in a folder called VIDEO_TS (DVD Shrink does this automatically)

    2. Use IfoEdit
    a) Use the VIDEO_TS folder from your "hard drive" to create disc image

    3. Use DVD Decrypter burn the image

    hi all

1, use DVD Shrink to "rip and compress"

2, use Nero v5 or recordnowmax!

dvdshrink is free, but it doesn't do as good as the paid programs and so are the guides.

    The best method is:
    1. RIP with DVD Decrypter
    2. Shrink with DVD2ONE
*. Ifoedit if you want to edit your movie
    3. Test and burn it with Nero or any burning software you have. Why not spend a little money and get things done right and right everytime. Have a great weekend!!!!!!!!!!!

Well actually the Best Method is to Rip and compress Manually but that takes some advanced Knowlege of Digital Video to do Properly..The Quality is Much better than any all in One Program and you get better controll over the way the Movie looks, but it also takes Longer...and This way you get to utilize the other DVD formats which can let you get much more video in a DVD, Like over 6 hours of better than VCD or VHS Quality Video...Cheers

I hate to beg to differ with you DVDplanet, but personally I believe that DVDShrink does as good a job or better than most of the so-called paid programs, which are built on exactly the same technology, just because someone doesn't want to get filthy rich by exploiting poor unassuming people doesn't mean it is no good. In fact when something is done for the love or fun of it, it is normally done so much better than if it is done for money..

    Just my opinion though...

DVD-Shrink does Produce better Quality when there is compression involved than any Paid One click Backup Program I have tried and DVD2One produces Probably the worst quality when there is Compression involved especially for Long movies Like LOTR....
