360 controller mod - help

So I tried to turbo fire button mod, and it works fine when I am testing it while taken apart, but once all the screws are tight and I unpause, the green lights go in a clockwide ring till I take the battery out. I have tried re soldering the 2 wires I installed and doing a cleaner job of it, and I checked for pinch points too... It works everytime the controller is apart, and errors everytime once put together...

Im lost, any suggestions or ideas? Old topics here maybe? Any help is appreciated thanks.
