360 dvd drive swap

    Hey people. I have a 360 console (Build date Jan 2008) with a BenQ Drive. I've also got a flashed Hitachi drive from a faulty xbox (I know the drive works).

    Can I do a straight swap of these drives or do I need to mess around with it. Also... I know playing backed up games will likely have me kicked off Xbox live, but is there any way of them detecting what drive I'm using?

    Any responses would be appreciated.
