I can even play the XDG3 games off the disc perfectly but when it comes to installing it takes many attempts (sometimes dozens) to get it to install to my HDD. Older games install perfectly with no problems. My 360 is an Opus non-HDMI that is not modded. Any tips to help me?
I understand that but is there any workaround for me? Many XGD3 games after numerous attempts have installed (such as Dark Souls, Rayman Origin and Mass Effect 3) but others will always fail at around the same points.
the workaround is to replace the laser, most likely a samsung or hitachi, laser from ebay about 6 dollars and problem is solved!
Well Im in the UK and I dont know if the ones on eBay are reliable. Also my 360 was replaced by its current model back in June 2009 and is running perfectly these days (though it once came up with RROD and an E74 a while back). Are the Opus board generally reliable or are they ticking bombs like the Xenons?
