Recently, Microsoft has announced that they plan on making a profit on the 360 in 2007/2008. This alone I think means that we may not necessarily see a price drop when the launches of the PS3 and Wii arrive. And seeing how Microsoft has stated they are under no pressure for a price drop when the ps3 prices were revealed, I think it is safe to say that there probably won't be. However, Microsoft has also said they still have a couple "surprises up their sleeve", as well as planning on "increasing the value" of the 360. What could this mean? A new bundle better than the premium at the premium price? larger HD, bundled games, xbox live subscriptions, etc? And what about the HD-DVD add on? Discuss! And like, you know, what would YOU like to see for the 360 come the holiday shopping season?
You know the PS3 console will loose money for sony for every console they sell- its true for all consoles. rigth now teh xbox is about break even point so M$ isn't making any money from the console its self. Ps3 takes $750 to make each, and they sell it for $500, $600. LOL but they are gonna make a shit load of money on games and licenseing... anyway, i hope wee see a premium package bundled with an HD DVD player add on for a lower price than ps3? maybe for $450? i dont know
