Right just wanted to see if anyone else has a problem with this freq in Dublin (celtic Tv, LFC TV, Setanta 2) This Freq has been given me jip when using The Box, they work intermittantly, now when I hook up a Krptview arnet to the same feed, bingo, works no problem, so I am just wondering if any one else experiances problems on this Freq since nthell changed it the last time around (especially with The Box). I do remember a few posts on various sites that people were having trouble with this, so I am just wondering if this is a weak freq and The Box is having trouble with it as the Kryptview isnt.
Mick the Krypt has as you know a better tuner and emulation. The box will lock this frequency down at 394.250 have you tried deleting all the channel found at 394.250 then doing a manually scan at 394.000 you may get a better lock.
I've had this problem with both the replay lite and the starview 2 where the said freq will work on these boxes downstairs right at the connection coming from the NThell box but upstairs (about 15 meters away) through an extension and splitter none of the channels on this freq work. It does certainly seem like a weak signal from the transponder. Does the EPG not work on the Kryptview at all?
CBX - Thats the same set-up as mine, mine is about 4 metres away, using a spiltter, it seems that the freq is weak alrite and also depending on your area. Just seems to be a common issue for some users, I am going to try scousers advice, but the funny thing is, I loaded my channel file to about 8 box's and the other guys using this have there box close to the source and they all have the above.
Sorry - The EPG doesnt work on 5 Arnet box's I loaded, some others have reported it works, but its very hit and miss. The info bar doesnt work either, so I am hoping the next update will remedy this.
Hi Mickah I have a Kryptview, having previously had Starview and Starview2 boxes. As you say there is absolutely Zero EPG available with the Kryptview.. I note that ebay sellers say the EPG is fully tested in several UK cities ... no mention of anywhere in Ireland. No EPG is a big downer as you can't even get info on current program. Have you had any success with updating firmware ??? Mick (in Dublin)
