I wanted to know what's the best software for someone trying to make his own video games and where can I buy them. I don't know if it matters or not but the type of games I would make the most often are wrestling games like smackdown vs Raw and I need to know everything about the software like the animation software so i can make the moves and the software that allows me to create the 3d models of the ring,wrestlers, etc...

try a program called 3DS max, or you can even use a simple program like game factory or game maker, even better you can use macromedia Flash. ofcourse if you want it to be a good game with awsome graphics and stuff you can invest in a graphics engine a few artist and game developers and contractors a bit of advertisment never hurts.
