    I have already covered the DOP-IOS part in the guide and a few other times in past post. If you still don't understand it then I doubt you ever will.

    This guide doesn't use Preloader so if you have a preloader questions please start a new thread and ask in it.

    First i would like to say HI :) and thx Larry for this guide

    i am following the guide here but i seem to have a problem here
    Launch the HBC and load the cIOS 222 installer.
    Select IOS249 to perform the install
    This time select Custom IOS 223 and select IOS38 merged with IOS60.
    Make sure you get installation complete. If you do not and get an error then rerun this step again.

    i only have the options as follows
    USE IOS 38
    USE IOS 38 MERGED WITH IOS37
    USE IOS 38 MERGED WITH IOS68

    Can i just start again? or do i run the risk of bricking my wii? The wii is a latest uk model if that helps

    any ideas??? thx in advance

    The 8 in 38 looks similar to the 0 in 60. But there is a slite difference between the 2.

    I think your mistaking the 0 as an 8.

    1) the installer isn't programed to have an option of Use 38 merged with 68.

    2) I don't think there is even an IOS68 so how could you merge it with IOS68 if IOS58 dosent exist.

    There is no need to start over. That option will not change. It says IOS38 merged with IOS60 not IOS68 your reading it wrong.

    Ok, maybe we are just missing something on the screen;
    Ok, lets try this. In the Guide it says;
    Guide: Bootmii as IOS will boot from Homebrew Channel Home screen;

    Now what do you mean by this? On the HBC home screen there is nothing that asks me if I want to load Bootmii

    The next step in guide is;

    Navigate using Game Cube Controller. If you do not have a Game Cube Controller then try using power/reset buttons to navigate the Bootmii menu.

    There is nothing for us to navigate in because this part is nor happening "Bootmii as IOS will NOT boot from Homebrew Channel Home screen";

    Larry, what do you think is wrong? I hope you understand now what we are trying to tell you. Can someone maybe explain what I am missing here calmly please.

    Home Screen as in press the HOME button when in Homebrew Channel. Then the menu comes up with the Bootmii in that list.

    It does say that in the guide. It says Bootmii as IOS will boot from Homebrew Channel Home screen.

    That is the main page or application page.

    Maybe if you did a little more research on the Wii before attempting the guide you would know a little more.

    I added home button to the guide to make it as simple as can be for users like you. Even though I don't think users should be following this guide if they don't even know the basic functions of the Wiimote itself.

    True but for being new at it I didn't assume you were talking about a Home button.
    Anyway, can I use the wireless Gmaecube controller? as the Power/Reset buttons just turn it off or reset.

    Hey Larry, your 4.1 guide says 4.2 questions go here so I was just wondering if you had tried the 4.2 safe update or knew anything about its compatibility with your 4.1 mod? If you haven't and don't plan to try, just let me know. Thanks.

    I downloaded SOFTMODPACK.

    Extracted the "EXTRACT TO SD CARD" file to the root of my SD Card.

    Completed the NUS Downloader and copied the 4 WAD files to the root of my SD card.

    My SD card contains the boot file and 4 WAD files, no folders. In the guide it shows 3 folders. apps, private and wad. Do I need these folders? if so, where did they come from?

    When I put my SD card in and click on the SD icon it says "reading SD card" but nothing happens.

    I have already went through the install without errors but I did not do a NAND backup and I deleted all the files from the SD card when I was done so now I can't start bootmii to do a NAND backup. When my Wii starts it goes into the Wii menu. I dont see anything about a bootmii. I guess I deleted the files I needed.

    For the life of me I can't remeber how I got it to work the first time. HBC is installed and works fine. What am I not seeing?

    Thanks
    Jim

    Follow the HBC section again and try reinstalling it.

    The apps, private and wad files are in the "EXTRACT TO SD CARD" file. Make sure your extarcting everything in the "EXTRACT TO SD CARD" to the SD card.
