Install the wad files the same way you installed the neogamma WAD file. Place the WAD in the wad folder and run WAD manager.

If they are starting to load the game, then the softmod looks to have worked, you may need to use better quality dvd-r media. Verbatim is always the best and bunt on the slowest speed possible.

For those of us (most of us, if not everyone on 4.2) who can only install Bootmii as IOS we will never be able to recover in the event of a brick as we wont be able to boot into the HBC.
This is only possible if Bootmii was installed as Boot2.

Should this not be stated clearly in the Guide ???

Installing Bootmii and backing up the NAND is most important. If anyone wants any other information on how to restore there NAND can do some research on their own and find out.

"DO NOT FORGET TO DISSCONNECT THE GAME CUBE CONTROLER AFTER YOU BACKUP YOUR NAND!"

When I have time to disconnect the controller if I need select the nand backup on the menu using the GC controller?

The guide worked just as described with no problems.

-brand new LU66 updated to 4.2u
    -SanDisk SD card (2 GB)

    Some notes for your information:

*BootMii would only install as IOS

*For the DOP-IOS MOD section, there is no need for the line "After it has finished press any button to continue." as after it finishes, it goes right back to the screen to select the next IOS

*cMIOS Installer seemed to work fine (remember I have LU66) but I haven't tested any GameCube games yet

Hope the above is useful. Thanks again for the great guide - it was very easy to follow.

Hello, I'm trying to setup a wii for my children, I installed the softmod carefully as laid out in this forum, and everything seemed fine, no error messages, and in the wii menu it lists the homebrew and neogamma. But when I load a backup disk, I get the error message "DVD Read Error 1101". I have tried several dvds, some that work on a chip modded wii and a couple I burned using imgburn. I'm a newbie at this type of thing so I know I probably missed something, so any help would be greatly appreciated. My system is NTSC USA, will this mod allow PAL disks to be played as well. Thank you for your time and help

You might have a new Wii model that prevents back up disk loading or have the same issue as me. A weird DVD burner. Tr using the USB HDD bootloader instead. Its compact, faster and alot easier to carry multiple games on.

I got a newbie question, I searched but I couldn't find a definitive answer so I guess this is the best place to ask.

I followed all the steps and my WII works perfect but I disconnected the wiiconnect24 as I'm afraid it might update my wii without my consent. My kids now want to play a game that needs wiiconnect, is it safe to turn it on at least temporarily just so they can play their game online?

As stated in the guide if you get read error it is possible you have 1 of the newer drives that will not play backup disc. You will need to use a USB Loader instead.
