May I start by saying without all the helpful advice contained on this site I wouldnt even be posting this message today. My poblem is this: I have a Star***w 2 "The Box" and at the turn of the year attemted to upgrade the firmw*** with the software accessed from Eamos library. Unfortunately, dispite the excellent tutorials posted here, I couldnt get the box to accept the firmware? It would download 100% but when the box turned itself back on I just got the coninuous moving green line. With help from these pages I tried the Bad Flash method many times but still no joy. After panicking thinking my box was dead, I was advised to try and put the old firmware (4.51 using loader 4.00)back on , using the bad flash method, and this worked first time. I have again tried recently to put 4.57 on the box but exactly the same thing happened!! I managed to get 4.51 on again, after 3 times this time, so my question is this (finally!!) Has anyone else experienced these problems and is there anything else I can do to try and get 4.57 accepted, or should i just manually input after a roll?? Many Thanks
