If you are an international traveler then you would want a quad-band phone. You also need to make sure you buy the appropriate adapters to adjust for the various voltages in wall recepticles in different countries. As far as a recommendation on a phone, I don't travel internationally, so I really can't say. I'm a tight wad, so I wouldn't spend more than $200US on cell phone unless of course I was being reimbursed by my company.
