    Hi,

I have had this problem a few times, and just ignored it, but now it's starting to annoy me.
I downloaded a movie, and it plays perfectly in my laptop, but when I burn it it won't play in my dvd player. It plays in every computer I put it into, but doesn't play in any dvd player. I have used Nero and Roxio thinkingI may have done something wrong, but when I put a few movies onto one disc, the others have no problem at all.

Any help would be appreciated, in the simplest language possible.

    Thanks.

What is being burned - is it an AVI file burned as data onto a DVD disk or an authored DVD movie.

If the media can be ruled out (it's a known reliable brand like 'Verbatim' and it's being burned at a moderate speed)then rule out other obvious problems:maximum resolution W x H = 720x576 and maximum file size is 2GB.
More obscure problems might be wrong type audio.

Use 'GSpot' to compare known good files to bad to see if there's a common factor.
If you test burn files you should get some RW disks, to prevent building a collection of coasters.
