5.1 Xvid - Divx Player

Hello,

I have a Philips DVP-5140 which is capable of playing Xvid and DivX. My problem is I only have a TV with stereo so when I play a file with a 5.1 audio track you can barely hear what they are saying on screen. Can I convert the audio to stereo to fix this or something?
