you have onboard video that is using 64meg of your 512meg. make certain have agp slot for new videocard as not all motherboards with onboard video have agp slots!!!

no motherboard that i know of has 2 agp slots. is either 1 or none. look at the motherboard manual or the motherboard itself to see if got an agp slot

Ph0BoLuS, can probably put in a 8x agp videocard.

deadbeat9, look in the device manager to see if got 1 or 2 videocards as windows sometimes sees things that are disabled in the bios it shouldn't see. onboard video means the videocard is part of the motherboard. look at the back end of your computer to see if can see 2 vga connectors, 1 on the motherboard & 1 on a card??

look at the back of your computer, do you see 2 female 15pin connectors that a monitor cable can plug into?? what is the make & model# of the computer or the motherboard so i can look at the info. do you have the motherboard manual or user guide that describes the computer??

but he needs to know if u have onboard memory, if so, installing a new gfx card will more than likely get ur 8mb of ram back. if you dont have it, then it might be another problem. cooperation is the key if you want help my friend

do it again but display what is in the display devices. the 15pin female connector(s) is what the monitor cable plugs into so you can see what is displayed on the screen from the computer. the female connector has 3 rows of 5 holes each that corresponds with the male connector that has 3 rows of 5 pins each.

do you mean display adaptors cause there is no display devices in device manager. also theres only one 15pin female connector that connect to my monitor
