I have a 60 gig (the one that plays PS2 games) and I think the bluray drive went bad. What parts do I need to fix it and where can i buy them? While i'm in there is there anything else i should replace? Thanks

You can either replace the whole drive, or just the laser lens itself (or even just the laser board). If you do choose to change drives, make sure to transfer the board from the bottom of your current drive to the bottom of the new drive.

I'm not sure where the best place to buy replacement parts is (thankfully, I have not had to search)...but I know there are lots of vendors that sell these parts, so perhapse someone else on the forum can recomend a good site.

As long as it is open, I would also put some decent memory heatsinks on the memory; the PS3 memory is an evolution of rambuss technology; so it needs lots of cooling (more than sony included).
