Have you tried the chckdsk C:/f fix yet. Whenever I have corrupted hard drives because I improperly shutdown the computer, chkdsk can usually fix it. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q315265 If that doesn't work, use the free "testdisk" to try and fix it, or at least recover the data for you. http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk_Download
thanks very much jony.... the chkdsk doesn't work, but it was because it's an external hard drive... but the testdisk works like a charm... thanks very much!!!! it was because the boot sector... or somthin' doesn't match up... lol... i really don't no how to thank you...
