You could always wait untill the ps3 goes down in price. But some people do care about downloading content, 60 gig HD, wifi and all those special features.

I'm sorry but this is just so childish, immature and pathetic that I had to say something. I hope you're not seriously considering spending $600+ just to be able to treat your friends with such disrespect and disdain.

I'm curious - just how old are you face? Don't tell me you're more than 10 years old because you don't sound it. I'm sorry if you are.

I have 3 200gb PATA hard drives laying around my house so If I could just transfer the stuff they put on the 20gb one and put in a 200 Id just do that.

Well no offence to anyone but I'm 22yrs old and having ps3 will be bragging rights. It may seem immature but It happens with almost anything new with woman and men alike.Woman brag about their new purse, nails, purm or whatever.Well it's the same with guys ,we have our toys too.

I may be in the minority but I have wifi,so a wifi connection will be helpful. We just bought a x360 and the extra wifi adapter was $100!.It's alot and it's important.

I done paid $399 for the system(xbox 360) then $50 per year for xbox live then another $100 for the damn wifi.

Wtf? B!tch i haven't even included an extra controller so my boy can play and of coarse some games and other extra's.Then add the bluray and 1080p with hdmi spec 1.3 and additional featires the ps3 will have, and see how bad of a deal it is.Ps3= a hella great deal.

I didn't say I would buy it just for that ,but having it would be bragging right to my friends who don't have one.I would still let them play until they got one but, My house would be the party. That means free weed and beer too.

I would never let any one play on my 360 profile but they are welcome to play single player or start their own profile. Also if your friend already has x360 or whatever he can sign in on your console without effecting your profile.

geez lexz and I just got my 360 the other day.Your telling me you didn't know that? It'll be the same with ps3.

lexz I think you should get which ever suites you best.I will get the primo because I have wifi, want hdmi output,And could use the extra 40gb hdd space among other things. But Hey, the core system will still be a great system it just won't have some of the extra's.

@LexZ no one can give you a "real good reason" why you should buy one over the other, that is something you have to figure out. the only thing anyone can really do is point out the major differences between the two, which may hopefully provide you with some guidance.

a few tips to take into consideration:
    1. consider your budget - write out on paper what your monthly income is compared to your expenses and develop a budget.
    2. ask yourself "will i really miss the features that are not included in the 20gig model OR will i really get the most out of the 60gig model?" is HDMI/wi-fi something you would utilize or really need?
    3. write down and compare the possible scenarios for getting either model, such as "if i got the 20gig model, i'd have another $100 to spend on games, but no hdmi/wi-fi...vice versa...how much money do i want to spend at launch, how many games do i intend on buying, if the price of games is $XX.XX i'd be able to afford x'number of games etc..." basically pros/cons of making a decision....

im sure if you take the time to think about the different possibilities, you'll be happier in the end. remember november is not for another 4 months and there is still some vital information sony has not revealed yet(online/gameprices), so you still have more than enough time to weigh your options.....

I would have to agree with the bragging rights. Why would anyone really stand in lines for hours or even a day before just to get a console on the first day.

If you did do that the first thing you are going to do is call all your friends. So that is actually bragging.

As for me I have gotten old and have a family now so my game days are limited so I will not have a PS3 unitll probably the first price drop but that is ok with me because I have some of those bragging friends and I will play their PS3.

I do not think Ty is saying he going to buy just MAINLY for bragging rights but bragging rights is pretty high on the list when it gomes to a new generation console.

I am thinking of buying a PS3 and re-sale it on eBay during Christmas time when they are selling out. People will probably pay $1000 for them then. Now why would you pay that but they will? So $600 will be cheap around Christmas time.

Yeah i heard of people doing that. When the 360 whas just released and it was to hard to find people were biding on them and one was a picture of a 360 and someone payed $900 dollars for it. But the person didint read the fine print that said "this is just a picture" so the person payed $900 for a picture.

they are required by law to pay right? or can they say "omg he ddnt make it noticable enought!!" and not pay you. im sure if he/she was urgant enought not to read the whole thing then they would pay just as urgantly.

i think when i sell my box, ill list all the details of the ps3 and everything the ps3 is, then somewhere located in a paragraph of info ill say "you are not bidding on a ps3, but a ps3 box." and im sure someone will glance over.
