[bold] #pw+843541767125566+7# [/bold] Your code:Try this ONCE and ONCE only. Remember, you only get 3 to 5 tries. [bold]If you enter the same code two times[/bold], that is [bold]two tries.[/bold] To enter code: Make sure battery is charged. Remove SIM first. Power on. Ignore “Insert SIM” Press the # key. then press the "star" key (*) quickly to get the P and W and + Press * 3 times quickly for (p) \ Press * 4 times quickly for (w) IMPORTANT Press * 2 times quickly for (+) / and the rest of the code--- Begin with # and end with #. IMPORTANT!! Verify code before pressing the last #. Pay attention. You only have about two seconds. "Phone restrictions off", it's unlocked. "Error code" wrong code. STOP tell me. "Not allowed" or "Can Not Undo Restriction" it's hard locked. Used up all your free tries!! If nothing happens, code stays on the screen: Put in a NEW SIM from a new Network. Power on. Select UNDO with NEW SIM in phone. Enter code as above. Select OK. If it does not work, tell me: What happened? What message you got. What codes you tried. Above all, answer. JG
after unlocking the phone successfully the display still reads "Insert SIM Card" with any good SIM I put in it... is there a way to jumpstart it or reset it so it will read SIMs? The unlock was good, it said "Phone Restrictions Off" and went right back to "Insert SIM Card" Thanks Dan
If the SIM works in another phone you may have a problem with the phone. Try cleaning the contacts on the phone and SIM. J
Yeah, I thought about that, didn't do any good... is there a way to possible flash it or update firmware on these models? Or would I be more than likely looking at a bricked phone and bettr off tossing it? Thanks again for your help.. Dan
What SIM are you trying anyway? Have you tried a Standard SIM from T-Mobile to see if the phone works? No point flashing a dead phone!! A repair shop might throw some light on the matter. Also, I'm not sure if it will work with the new "Smart" or 3G SIMs If it was still locked it would ask for a restriction code when a new SIM in in it. My guess is wrong type of SIM.
I have been trying the current SIM that works fine in my other 6103b, I don't know which kind it is... I wasn't aware that there was a difference. I'll check when I get home from work. I guess I'll call a shop and see what they have to say. Thanks again for all your help.. Dan
