Hi i got 8X AGP and I was at first thinking of buying an X800GT
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102619
...but then I found some 6600GT's for a whole lot less
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130220 OR http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814125179

and they seem to perform very very close to the X800GT's. I primarily want to be able to play games like Battlefield 2, FEAR, and Call of Duty 2, and Need for Speed Most Wanted.

Does anybody have a 6600GT and can tell me how they handle such games? Thanks a lot for your help guys!

I have a 6600GT & it handles BF2 very well @ 1280*1024 on medium settings , have played the call of duyt demo @ 1024*768 & was very impressed haven't played fear but would imagine it plays well & if NFSMW is anything like NFSU2 it will play extremly well .... on a side not i run my 6600GT @

Out of the 2 go for the gigabyte heatpipe card it's very good & a 1120Mhz memory speed out the box is excellent :)

Thanks guys but I decided to go with a Gigabyte Radeon X800PRO which is better than 6600gt, but since I have a Celeron...I can only play at 60% of the video cards full potential. Time to get a Pentium 4

    2.8Gig Celeron Northwood-Core...it says the "stepping" is D1, but I think its just a plain Celeron. 8KB L1 cache....128KB L2 cache...horrible.
