    k i recently bought a new videocard and it is giving me crappy performance please help....

    evega 7800GS CO 256mb AGP video card
    upgrade from ati 9800pro 128mb

    link to my new card here:
    http://search.ncix.com/displayproductdetail.php?sku=17728&vpn=256-A8-N506-AX&manufacture=EVGA

    basicly my issue is that the 7800 is giving me simular performance to my 9800pro

    im not sure why this is

    i have upgraded all drivers even tried old ones

    i tryed ngo drivers and DNA drivers

    and yes i did use drver cleaner pro to delete the ati drivers

    PC specs

    cpu = xp 2500+
    PSU = thermaltake purepower 420 watt
    RAM = 1024 dual channel

    i thought it might be a PSU issue but 420 should be more then enough power to run this video at stock

    please help afterdawn.com

    just a little exapmle of how crappy my card is running

    counter strike source my fps is like 30 and drops down to below 10 in 40 man servers

    and also there is little or no fps change from HIGH and LOW settings which is extremely weird like if i put resoultion on 600x800 evrything on low my fps is same as if i put it on 1200x1024 everything on high

    my buddy has a x850xt AGP and that card is suppose to be like 2 steps down from mine and he gets like 60 to 100 fps with everything on high and AAx4 and AFx8

    please someone help me i just spent 345.00 bucks and now im frustraighted

    note
    im getting crappy performance in everything not just counter strike source

    like even in FIFA my fps drops to like 10 OMG FIFA comon please help

    thanks in advance

    Your Athlon XP 2500 might be the bottleneck there. Your friends X850XT is still a very powerful card, and he probably gets better framerates because he has a better Processor.
