I recently copied my 8mm home movies to DVD using a DVD recorder/Player it was real easy.Later I found out it will not play in any DVD player Except the I recorded it with.It uses DVD+R. Can any one tell me why .The Machine is made by Apex.

Interesting. Is it possible the recorder is encrypting the disk. Going out on a limb here Your manual that came with the recorder should inligtin you on this subject. If it is encrypting it maybe you can turn that off. You could always try running that copy threw DVD Decrypter that should let you know it its encrypted.

    Good Luck

Sounds like you need to finalize the disk. I am not familiar with the apex recorders but there should be an option in the recorders menu to finalize.
