9 hrs to go from midnight! any last minute reqests?

Hi! Dark_ZaK here saying 4 things about my quite un-heard of CFW, 3.90 ZZK beta 3 (3.90 ZZK-3) you saw right! I have quickly decided to go with 3.90 as it is easier to hack. I have to ask you all a quick question though, would you prefer an M33 style recovery or should I bring back the OE recovery? bear in mind this version of ZZK is for slim users ONLY! will bring phat out in next V.
Features list
1.) preloaded custom theme
2.) improved NP9660 mode
3.) possibility for new VSH menu.

 

I would prefer any recovery style. What do u mean by a new vshmain? What did u change?

sorry i was reading the thread at maxconsole and they know a lot more than me about the flash and os of the psp.

though i would have to agree with them and at the moment im finding it hard not to have a argument. though i have to say that your a fruad why do i say this well because iv never seen any work from you before.

if you have written a program for the psp before or for pc to be used with the psp i would like to see it.

this is how GEN and DAX became big because they have made stuff before that has worked.

im sure what you may do though is hex the vshctrl and the prx that stores the recovery mode (as you can do that with a program for 3.95GEN). then put a custom theme for 3.95GEN.

but if you are re-writing it what are you using? not HEX?

I have to agree with myself (and maxconsle). When, I first saw this about the possibility vshmain. I'm guessing u are just goin to hex edit prx ...

I can guess u have a slim that was runnin 3.90 M33. U take ur own flash files then hex edit it.

Also, from what I read in ur site... u dont know how to make a update eboot. Even for me, as I dont know how to make CFW or have any basic skill about CFW, I still know how to make Updates Eboots.

 

not meaning to sound rude or anything, but either

i) this is fake, no evidence you can code;
ii) some lame hex, in which case you should not rename the cfw but make it clear it is a hexedit AND seek permission from whom you edited

OK stop dissing me when you haven't even seen the final thing! Anyway, this is going to be a request-only FW and I am just waiting for permission from DA before the launch of 4.01 ZZK test 2. I will now only reply to positive, questioning and reqesting posts. if you are willing to contribute to this FW then feel free to PM me. Anyway, a FW is only a FW at the end of the day and it is not something you should get worked up over.

That's not what it's for. Thats to bypass the version checker when you plug it in to your PS3 or PC and access the PSStore.

But yeah, I still believe it's taken him this long just to hex the name XD

why did you choose afterdawn as well theres its not like the site will promote it well QJ.net qould have been a better place to go after getting banned from maxconsole?

since most devs are from there. However, they dont like noobz questions. So, if u can actually make a cfw then visit the site.

i hope you are not. as for your question, yes I am using a hex editor, but not how you would think. I have figured that if I copy and paste the original and then change a single byte in it and the re-write the bits i need to then it will officialy be "my" prx! I am doing this for nearly all prx's (the single byte bit anyway)

 

No, it's still Dark-AleX's or Sony's prx, just modified by you. If you want to make it your own, you need to reverse engineer the whole thing.

Also, how do you know what you are doing? All prx's in the flash0 are encrypted.

 

yes iv opened the gate to the floors in what you are doing muhahaha

1. anyone can hex edit if they no what there doing and

that is exacly how i though you would be doing it no special star there

2. humm i dont think DAX just hexed the prx file he wrote a program to unecryped the prx files so that he can work on them

3. DAX also can write psp programs on cygwin which allow him to run the updates with out the need of having the unecrpted prx.

(that means you need to write a program that will unecrypt the prx files on the psp using the offial eboot updates and then modify them then install them)

sorry kid but your basicly running with a knife you have no real idea on what your doing; have you ever programmed before even on a simple programming language.

humm a bit harsh but i dont trust anyone that just hex edits the prx files and has never produced any information on what they are going to include in it or even has no knowllage on programming for the psp.
