9800 GTX & PCI Express 2.0

    Hi, I plan to buy an 9800 GTX & was wondering do I need a board that supports PCI Express 2.0?

    If not then what is the performance difference over PCI 16x?

    1. You don't.
    2. Not very much, it'll only really come into its own for dual-GPU-on-one-board style cards like the HD3870X2 and 9800GX2.
