Greets, new to the forum and all, and to modding xbox's. I was wondering, and hoping, if there was a way to download and play AVI's, or better yet, a way to stream them through my modded Xbox to my television. I'm currently running Avalaunch. Thanks for the help.
Xbox Media Center (XBMC) is an excellent choice for playing virtually any extention. If you want to rip DVD's to AVI's, you will have to use a computer since there are no tools out there to convert on the xbox (Please correct me if I'm wrong, I'd love to have one). Or, if you have videos already in that format, just FTP them over. I don't quite understand what you mean by "streaming" from the xbox, but yes, if a video is on the xbox, it can be played using XBMC.
I appreciate the help, but the thing is, I have it on the xbox. When I try to execute it, the XBox just freezes, not even the standard reboot button combo will work. It's very curious.
