I HAVE ASKED EVERYONE AND NOONE CAN FIGURE IT OUT. SO I AM PUTTING OUT A CHALLANGE TO ANY MODDER WHO THINKS THEY HAVE WHAT IT TAKES. ALRIGHT HERE ARE THE DETAILS. I CANNOT ESTABLISH AN FTP CONNECTION WITH MY XBOX. I AM USING THE SMART XX V3 MOD CHIP IN A V1.6 AND A WINDOWS 2000 SP1 LAPTOP PENTIUM 3 WITH THE AIRPORT BASESTATION(2 ETHERNET PORTS)SMART FTP AND AN ETHERNET CROSSOVER CABLE I ALSO HAVE TO DIRECT ETHERNETS. IF ANY ONE MODDER CAN SOLVE THIS PROBLEM THEN SEND ME A POST WITH YOUR THEORY FOR THE SOLUTION AND YOUR NAME SO I CAN KNOW WHO YOU ARE. IF YOU DO THIS AND SUCCEED, THEN I WILL SAVE UP AND SEND YOU A TROPHY. WHO THINKS THEY CAN SOLVE THIS PROBLEM?
Ok first off you can’t post messages on all caps and there are many reasons why you can’t FTP 1.your firewall might be blocking the connection 2.you are using the wrong ip address 3.you got the info all wrong like your ports password and so on but here’s a tutorial on how to FTP 4. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/213943 Hope this helps (PAN5Y)
it worked but mine only shows c d e x y z no admin or f. what do you think is wrong. do i have to unlock my xbox cause i already tried. so what do you think it is?
idk...sorry buddy well dont do anything that you think is ganna mess up your xbox like moving folders and stuff...someone is ganna help u dont worry
C,D,E,X,Y, and Z are the default drives. normally you can't FTP into the other two drives. a lot of times, those drives don't exist.
so would you know the route ide have to type in to get to my halo 2 saves?or maps? oh i also dont have g.
Yeah G won't appear on FTP either. the only one you actually use the whole time is E. to get to gameasves go to E\Udata. I have no idea which of those folders Halo 2 is. To get to the maps, go to E\Tdata\4d530064\$c\The three folders are the three map packs.
Hmmm. On my Xbox, I get C,D,E,F,X,Y & Z, and using Windows Explorer as my FTP connection, they all appear. D is your Xbox's DVD drive. It might depend on how the HDD is set up. As for your FTP problem, try setting the last number of your IP on your Xbox 100 above you routers IP. For example, to get an FTP connection on my Xbox, I had to set the last digit of the Xbox IP to 101, and the last digit of my PC's IP is 1: Xbox:xxx.xxx.x.101 PC:xxx.xxx.x.1 Hope this helps. Took me 2 days to figure mine out.
the gamesaves for halo are the exact same directory as the maps except in udata instead of tdata, its something like e:/udata/4d530064 then i think thats it
all i can find is my saves but i cant identify my levels if they even show up and i want to mod coagulation not my map pack levels. ps i tried to mod turf signed it ftp'd it but it wouldnt load. solution?
