I'm working at a small operation cable station using Mac G5's with Mac OSX. We're having serious problems with drive space due to old episodes of our shows. We have about 30 shows each anywhere from 7GB's to 15GB's converted to quicktime. I'm converting these files using Final Cut Pro. We have IDVD for dvd burning software. I would like to find out how to either properly compress these files to store as data or burn the actual programs onto the DVD for a pop and play type of deal. I know that it can hold over the 4.7 gig limit through compression but how do I acheive this with IDVD? Should I get different software. Please help out, it would score me some points with my boss and I would plug After Dawn on the channel if i got some help.
there are several programs to compress files .. dvd shrink and dvd decrypter ( freeware) both can be downloaded from this site either or should work fine or you can use CloneDVD 2
