If you back up a game with imgburn, it creates an ISO.
When you download a game, you will have a lot of rar files etc, you extract them all into an ISO image.
So its the same thing as the backup ISO image.
    Then just follow this method.

Download imgburn, select "Write Image File to Disc" then burn it on DVD-R at 4x speed.
There is tutorial here on how to use Imgburn to backup and write images to Disc. Scroll down to PART II.
Read through this faq for what type of media to use, how to extract rar files etc.
Any more info you need just ask.

Ok, tomorrow is the day i go out and look for a the Action replay Max at the B&M stores. I've read that you need to have Ar Max 3.3-3.36. How do I check to make sure that I have that specific version.

    thanks

Yes you do need the higher Version 3.30 or 3.36 of Ar Max as the Slim PS2 V12 and up won't recognize anything lower.
It should say on the box or ask the retailer for those versions.

You may have to contact them to see what version it is. I am not sure.
The one here on Datel site which is the maker of Ar Max has over 50,000 codes which I would say is newer.

The reason it has to have media player is too load up cdloader or other elfs off a usb drive or mc.
Read #2 of this faq as I don't know what version Ps2 you have.
    http://www.datelcustomerservice.com/PlayStation2/ARMAXPS2.htm
I would tend to think the online stores must be selling the newer versions but I have never bought it so don't know for sure.

I went to bestbuy and couldn't find anywhere on the box where it said what version it was, so I decided to just purchase it since it said you can do things with the usb flash drive. Well I got home and tried it and everything works. It also doesn't say what version it is on the disc either. I loaded the exploit and everything is great! thanks!

Thats great it has worked out for you. I am surprised it doesn't tell the version number on the disc though.
Datel support says "To check the version of your Action Replay Max, look on the underside of the disc, you will see a dark blue ring towards the center; this is where you will find the version number."

would you look at that! I just went to go look again and there it was. I completely missed it since the numbering blended in so well. Only at certain angles was I able to see it. Mine says its a 3.70. Weird that the numbers dont match up to the 3.30- 3.36.

I was gonna suggest the same thing ie. "look on the underside of the disc, you will see a dark blue ring towards the center" for the version number, but smokyrain beat me to it, lol.

Mine says version 3.35. Your 3.70 must be real new.

They copy I bought at best buy had a label on the front in red that said..

Includes max media player, now play Homebrew on your PS2 without modifying your console

I bought mine about a year ago so it might have changed with the newer versions that support it
