My p.c. has really shit the bed this time. I have had it for 3 months now and i have loved what it has given me for results. It is a custom built pc, with an ASUS p5vdc-x mother board, two used emachine disc drives, and a ATI Radeon x1300 series vid card. so... problem: I was playing CS like any other day, when all of a sudden my pc restarted on me. I thought nothing of it. Later that night i tried running winamp, using my loving milkdrop visualizations, it restarted again. i thought, awkward, but this time instead of going back into windows like normal, it just kept restarting. before it kept restarting, i sent an error report and it said "Caused by a device Driver". i had another pc on my LAN that did this, and it claimed to be the vid card... this card is BRAND NEW... someone PPPPLLLLEEEEAAAASSSEEE help me... i miss my computer... ^^ the post above is someone using my account, i let him because he is having serious issues, the pc specs you see are incorrect for that reason.
Try updating your video card drivers. Make sure you do not have any spywares. Run Ad-aware and Spybot and see if that helps.
its a 450 W psu, and everytime i try to run spybot and adaware, it restarts... i will try again and keep you posted.
Even though you are getting specific errors related to a device driver, would get a program to monitor temps. CPU, GPU, mobo, etc. Make sure you are running cool enough before you go any further. Heat can cause reboots as well, so its worth looking into. ~Rich
well... my pc wont even turn on now... i noticed the voltage fluxuating... and someone told me that its the psu and it is defective... so... any recommendations??? looking for efficient yet kind of on the cheaper side.
Bad RAM has caused my computer to reboot before when you put any stress on it but I can't relate that to your last post so it could be the PSU. Dave
