This dvdrecorder will play back anything burned on a dvd data files video dvds dvix anything if you burn it it will play it also it will play every cd burned cd that unless itds a game then thats the only ones it wouldnot play also it will play the new HD and Blu ray I have an Idea thay should have more then one laser it would have 2 trays or 3 orit would have aswivel too switch the lasers and the disks.
