....but I can't find the right combination to do so. Thusfar, I have DVDFab Decrypter, DVD Shrink, VobBlanker. I have DVD Decrypter but I think that's obsolete. I also have AnyDVD and DVDClone but the 21 day trials are up and I've already asked how to get it again without having to pay for it. I'm Bastard-O del Cheap.

If anyone who has already done these movies or have expansive knowledge in what programs to use, please reply.

The movies needing backing up are:

    1. Final Destination 3
I use DVDFab on this movie but it takes FOREVER!!!!! So I just try another program, DVD Shrink, but that errors out or shuts down. Bah, next movie.

    2. Bourne Identity and Bourne Supremacy
I can use DVDFab on these movies but once it's on the HDD and I point DVD Shrink to it, Shrink returns a bunch of errors and redundancy's that cause the program to error out or shut down. I also see the "little guy in his shorts jumping", which I heard is a problem. I was able to use VobBlanker on it, but I need a guide with pictures to show me how to use it. I was able to "do something" to the VIDEO_TS files, but I don't know what the hell I was doing. Is there a way of getting around this problem with these movies?

    3. The Boondocks
I put the brand new DVD in and it stalls in playing. I don't know why. Then it kicks in and my player, PowerDVD, boots up and the movie starts playing. When I have the DVD in the drive and open DVDFab Decrypter and/or DVD Shrink, the DVD itself starts to spin and spin then just stops. I click on START to process the DVD and DVDFab Decrpyter conks out. I try with Shrink and it conks out to. They freeze then a bunch of errors come up and then I have to use the Task Manager to close the programs. Any word on how to get by this issue?

Once again, I would like anyone with expansive experience to help with these flicks. Any combination of programs, any user guides, anything to help a n00b out.

Also, how to get AnyDVD and/or DVDClone without having to pay for it past the 21 day trial.

    Thanks in advance.

Sorry, but I think this gives an explanation to my issues, where the other thread was more based on a program problem.

Buy the programs, 'nuff said. (AnyDVD-CloneDVD2)
Or, DVD Ripit4me and DVDdecrypter, follwed by DVDshrink, and Imgburn,
free, all work, not as good as the good stuff from Slysoft. Of course some people buy Walmart Vodka and pass it off as top shelf stuff, but not the good people here at AD, right?

    @ jwa1ewa,

Ive done all of those movies with this combo(All free) except the Boondocks

This is the combo I use and all are FREEEEEEEEEEE

    1. DVDFab decrypter(Free) Make sure u have latest version 2981
    http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm

    2. VOBblanker(Free) Not always needed (NEEDED with those three, both bournes, FD3, as it blanks some bad cells out)
    http://jsoto.posunplugged.com/vobblanker.htm

here is a guide for VobBlanker
    http://www.dvdr-digest.com/articles/article_vobblanker_page1.html

    3. DVD shrink(free)

4.Burn with whatever program u want (free way, ImgBurn or dvd decrypter)

Perfect 100% backup of any Movie Guaranteed, OF COURSE with QUALITY MEDIA
like arniebear said in the other thread use vobblanker,
it gets rid of those bad cells that cause the errors in shrink or recode

    @ bilbo65

Yeah, I'm thinking of investing, but trying to hold out if any combination programs work to get past the blocks. Then there will be no need to invest.

    Everyone else,

Thanks for your input. I'll get home and try out the guides and other programs that are free to back my DVDs up. I'm crossing my fingers and hope these all work.
