So, I just signed up to afterdawn after trolling around. I must say, very impressed with the helpful stuff on this website. Top nothc. Now, onto my questions...

Okay, so I'm currently trying to create a DVD of the Celebrity Jeopardy skits from SNL. I've got all 13 of them, and I wanted to make a DVD that had a menu where you could select each episode as a chapter. The files are MPGs. I originally was trying to put anime onto a DVD, but I figure if I can get this to work, anime shouldn't be any different.

The current programs I have for DVD related things are: AVI2DVD, Gspot, and AlltoAVI.

My first question, I was trying to load all of the episodes into AVI2DVD, however, it kept telling me I had to switch output folders. I assume all of the episodes hafta be in the same VIDEO_TS folder to play correctly, so what am I doing wrong? I tried it with two episodes, but instead I got the first episode without color.

Second question, what's a good and free program to make menus? AVI2DVD can make some menus, but it won't give me the right chapter selection. I was tyring to see if I could tell the DVD to make a chapter after each episode, but since each episode is different lenghts, I can tell it to make a chapter ever x minutes.

I can change the MPGs to AVIs easy enough, but I can't figure out what I need to do to put all the episodes on the same DVD with a chapter selection menu. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your time. =D

Load each mpeg as a separate title into DVD Flick using the 'Add Title' button on the right side of the window.

Use 'Project Settings' => 'Video', to select your TV video type (NTSC North America or PAL most everywhere else) and 'Burning' if you wish to burn the DVD after conversion.

When ready, click the 'Menu Settings' button and 'Enable Menu'.
Each 'title' should now have a menu selection.

'Chapters' - are set using the 'Edit Title' button on the right and are applied to each title separately.
Unless the title is longer than five minutes, there is little point to applying it.

Click the 'Create DVD' button when ready to create/burn the DVD.

So, I download DVD flick, and it's kinda nifty, but I can't find the menu creation button. And can I put my own menu pictures in, or can I only use the ones preloaded on there?

Thanks. I downloaded the previous one, so I couldn't find the button. Just downloaded beta, and now my DVD works. =D

Though, I'm a bit disappointed with the menu creation. I wanted to make my own background image, and put music to it, like I could on AVI2DVD. Oh well. If you know how to do that, I'd bake you a batch of cookies and buy you a hooker.

Perhaps the cookies;my significant other does not have our enlightened world-view.

Check out FAVC, it creates menus to - but I can't remember if it lets you select your own background.
