so I just bought a new dvd player that plays divx files. YAY.

Getting them to work isn't the issue.. I just have some general questions:

Can I burn multiple divx (.avi) to a dvd and be able to watch multiple videos on a single dvd?

2nd - I have an avi file with some subtitles. when I burned the files to a cd-r (single cd) I just kept the subtitles file in the root with the avi. When I push the subtitles button on my dvd player remote - I get an error (well rather a stop hand)

So its not loading my subtitles... - is there a way to get that to work without rencoding the file with the subs built in?

    THanks.

External subtitle support veries from player to player. Most will handle srt's though. If the player is DivX certified then you could remux to .divx with XSubs.

Yes you can burn multiple files to DVD. For best compatibility burn as ISO not UDF.
