I'm thinking about getting a mod chip put in my PStwo v14 but have a few questions.. first.. what chip would you recomend then Matrix Infinity or the Crystal Chip 1.1? main thing i'm gonna use it for in playing backups not online so the auto DNA switching thing isnt a issues for me.. Also with the mod chip is it possable to hook a USB HDD up to it and play off of it? if not no biggie but it would be nice

umm i think thats it.. i though i had a few more questions but i cant seem to rememebr them =P

I just got a DMS4 Pro SE chip installed in my v14 Slimline PStwo.
It's great and it supports DVD+R DL backups.
If you do get it make sure you get the Toxic OS with it.
I was gonna get the Matrix Infinity, glad I didn't.

the two you listed are both good
add the DMS4 Pro SE and you have the 3 top chips you could choose.
I do not know about a USB HDD but i think you can. They make a program you can buy called USB Extreme that runs games from a USB hard drive. BUt just so you know USB hard drives are not the best way to go. They are much slower then internal IDE hard drives and will not give you increased load times over using a disc. BUt they will save laser life. And speaking of lasers you may want to make sure they install a laser fix with the chip. People will tell you that the V14 doesn't need it. But i suggest them in any slimline just to be safe since they are only about $10

If you are willing to spend a bit of money and want the ultimate system then here is what you do.
    1. Get a DMS4 Pro SE installed (with laser fix)
    2. Get the V14 put in an HD Combo case which will make it look like the older model so an internal IDE hard drive can be installed.
    3. get them to install the hard drive while there in there

once they do those 3 things you would be the envy of many gamers.
a chipped system with an internal hard drive, the case having 2 cooling fans rather than one to keep it cool. The chip that has all the functions needed to run the internal hard drive, format it, install/delete game from it strait from the DVD drive, a built in cheat device so no need to buy AR Max or Gameshark. Just to name a few things.
