Hi all, I have soft modded a couple boxes and thought I could pass on to new modders a couple things I have learned.

    1. Read as many tutorials and web pages as you can on soft modding. Even read those a couple times till you understand them fully.

    2. Before actually soft modding find tutorials s on FTP’ing to your Xbox, and understand them before soft modding you box.

    3. Use that 100 % free resource called Afterdawn. Use the search function to find specific info, it does work.

    4. Always backup you’re Ms and Mod files on your Xbox hard drive.

    5. As soon as you get your soft mod working, back up the whole hard drive to your computer.

    6. Find and learn how to use xboxhdm. It’s a life saver!

    7. If you come up with something that puzzles you or slows you down. go back to the tutorials for answers.

    8. Try not to freak out and jump to conclusion if you make a mistake. Keep your thinking simple.

Hopefully this will help out some one. If anyone has anything to ad feel free to.

    Thanks and good luck!

It was meant for people that are new to soft modding . I was hoping it might be read by newbies and cut back a little on all the " I modded my xbox and screwd up mx xbox now I need help" questions.

I've been seeing alot of newbie mistakes so I thought I would bump this to the top again in hopes to save a few headaches.
