Ok guys and girls here is the situation.
I've recently bought a Fat Fliptop PS2 from ebay. Then I also thought it would be handy to have a hard drive to back up my games so I bought one to. Then I downloaded HD Advance 2.0. The thing is when Burning with Alcohol 120% there are 2 images I can burn for the DVD. There is a MDS file and an ISO file. Which one should I burn?
Also I've read around and it seems for a burned version of HD Advance I need swap magic tools. Will the fliptop suffice and how can I use it in conjunction with HD Advance?

    Thanks for your time

Best bet would be to use Hdloader and load it from your Memory Card via MC Exploit...

http://sksapps.com/ is where you can find all the info and files you need...

    Goodluck

You will need Swapmagic to boot backups from CD/DVD and to create the MC Exploit onto your MC

Not all games are compatible with HDLOADER (HD Advance same thing but most games are compatible) Those that aren't you can burn to CD/DVD and boot with Swapmagic and your Fliptop

I'd buy Swapmagic like I said before buying Hdadvance... Not all games are compatible with Hd Advance or Hdloader so you always use Swapmagic to play backups..

HDLOADER is also updated when needed and Hd Advance is not..

OK thanks but what I was really asking is:
Do I use the swap magic method (you know in conjunction with my fliptop) to make my ps2 read hd loader and from there how do I copy games (say for example Final fantasy X and X-2)

Yes you use Swapmagic to boot a MC Exploit in order for the Hard Drive to work.. or you can download Hdloader and burn it to CD/DVD and use Swapmagic to boot HDLOADER...

You can also use Swapmagic to boot games directly from Disc with the fliptop that don't work with HDLOADER

heres a easyer way i have found.

get swapmagic3.8. coder, the coder set has alot better features than older swapmagic dvd cd's.

which are ar replay codes , usb boot.

1st if you got a usb drive laying around use it, just make afolder in called swapmagic and rename all of your hd loader elf's to smboot0.elf
    and like so smboot1.elf smboot2

2ed just put in your swapmagic3.8 coder dvd or cd and wait till it loads swapmagic, than just hit right on the d-pad untill u get to smboot, than hit x to start hd loader.

    real easy.

or u could just rename a hd loader elf to swapmagic and put it in the swapmagic folder on your usb drive, that way it auto loads hd advace or hdloader every time with your swapmagic dvd or cd in drive.

p.s. i am useing a usb 1GB drive works great.
my ps2 is a v7 with a drive that only reads dvd's, will not read ps2 cd's or dual layer dvd's like god of war.

Ok I'll try that out. Could you please tell me a reliable and safe place to buy this software in the U.K. That would be great.
    Thanks for all your help.
