sure it will work, if you want to be a total douchebag, and go to jail.

It works, it's called gut swapping but it is very illegal. If you are caught, jail time. I know some people who have done it, have not been caught and have no fear of being caught. Personally I wont do it. Say the store you returned your banned xbox 360 sends it back to Microsoft, and finds out the serial number on the box is not the boxes true serial number, and that it's been gut swapped. They can link the console_id to your gamertag, your gamertag to your personal info and you're busted. Not saying they would go through all the trouble, but not worth the risk.

Stop making these threads. What does common sense tell you? Its straight up wrong and not to mention illegal to do something like this. Don't listen to your "friend." In the event that you or your "friend" tries something like this, I hope that you or your "friend" gets an console that had its guts swapped out alreay... That'll teach you kids to even entertain a thought like this...

Yes it is possible - and it is about as wrong as flashing the firmware on your console to allow the playing of backups. It's about as wrong as copying games or downloading ISO's from the internet and playing those. It's about as wrong as wrong is - because there is right, and then there is wrong...

I'm so tired of hearing all this "holier than thou" crap spewing from the minds of the pirates and thieves that lurk in these here parts. Just answer the kid's question and stop telling him about how wrong it is... I mean, SERIOUSLY!?!?

NO its worse as we go into this eyes open to the risks where as you gut swapping rips an innocent customer off further down the line who probably gets their 360 as an xmas present for their children for all you know.

Imran, I don't believe a friend told you that. I believe you are 12 years old and thought about it yourself and using the "friend told me" card. You always ask dumb questions on this forum, and it's time you stop.

If you were smart enough to flash your xbox, you should be smart enough to know that's retail fraud.
