    Well guy's what can i say but today is a good day to be British.Yes Kelly Holmes double gold was great.But the iceing on the cake was 4 x 100 relay.The US have such fine sprinters so for us to get the gold was unbelieveble.Yes Athens has been kind to the Brits and we have done much better than we could have imagined.

    Proud to be a Brit today

    God save our gracious Queen,
    Long live our noble Queen,
    God save The Queen.
    Send her victorious,
    Happy and glorious,
    Long to reign over us:
    God save The Queen.

    O Lord our God, arise,
    Scatter our enemies,
    And make them fall;
    Confound their politics,
    Frustrate their knavish tricks;
    On thee our hopes we fix:
    God save us all.

    Thy choicest gifts in store
    On her be pleased to pour,
    Long may she reign.
    May she defend our laws,
    And ever give us cause
    To sing with heart and voice,
    God save The Queen.

    I got a giant bottle of Bacardi Breezer on the go.
    Watermelon flavour, it's bloody foul but it was all that was left in the fridge.

    60 million.

    Overall ranking since olympic records began,
    3rd in the world.

    We haven't got much to celebrate here in the U.K. so don't take this from us as well

    nah the spiders are ok, once you get bitten you have at least 20 minutes to get to the hospital until you become completely paralized, its those damn pesky mutant wombats you have to watch out for, some of them get as big as four wheel drives ;).
    OOOOOO hang on a sec you think this arguement is over do you??? lol j/k. well done my english breathren, because without u's we'd have no1 to humiliate at the commonwealth games...lol ;)

    See us English are good for a couple of things we can take a good beating.Oh and are football managers are not bad as well.Obviously a spell under Venables put you ozzys in good prospect for the future.

    cant say i remember venables as the national coach but then again i used to drink lead paint as a kid lol =P, but the current manager frank farina has done more for aussie soccer in the last few years than really any other coach before him. although we are yet to make it to the world cup well in my lifetime anyway =/. next time will be different tho as apparently asia/oceania is set to recieve direct world cup qualification. which is bloody about time too, we have to qualify twice in the current rules. first we have to beat all the teams in the asia/oceania sector, then we either have to compete for a spot in south america(which have 6 direct qualification spots i think) or the middle east(which has 1 direct qualification spot). its just doesnt seem fair under the current FIFA rules. how many years do you think i'd get for blowing up FIFA HQ?? =D.

    I do feel for you there mate but europe will always get the bigger spoils for several reasons.
    1.All the money in the sport is mainly in europe.
    2.Club football is at the highest level around europe.
    3.There is more countrys in europe that take the sport more serious than anywhere else.
    4.Gives England a better chance to qualify.

    Teams like Australia will never get anywhere near a world cup until they take the sport serious.Look at Japan Korea and even the US they are all now improving and becoming a force now they take a real interest.Teams like man utd,Madrid and Jueventus go over to the US and Japan to play pre season as the US has just discovered there is alot of dollars to make from the sport.This is the same in Japan and many more will follow suit.
