I need some help with ripping and converting DVD's (VOB files) so that I can play films on an iRiver PMP-120.
I've tried using the DivX software and the convert softwar that came packaged with the player.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Apologies if I'm in the wrong forum.

Try SUPER, SimpleDivx, etc. You might find it easier to encode to xvid than divx. Make sure you have the xvid 1.10 codec if you do (maybe the latest 1.12 would work, but don't chance it). Use a single-pass to try it out and see if it works, and 2-pass for your real encodes.

Like your nick. Promag was a good company. Wonder if they're still around. I assume that that's what you modeled your handle after.

    Cheers for the info.
The name promag was my first decent paintball gun. A company called airgun designs manufactured Automags and a company made a modification and called them Promag.
As for the company Promag, I'm afraid I've never heard of them.

They made magazines for real guns. It may be the same company. Didn't know they did paintball guns though I haven't done that in awhile. Gotta get back into it though...
