A NEW GAME CONSOLE COMMING (THE PHANTOM) IS IT REAL OR HOAX

I have seen a new game console that they say it's comming out on November 2003.

The Phantom made by INFINIUM LABS CORPORATION company establish in October 2002 in Florida.

They say there game console is made for the hardcore player. Theres no spec but this is what it does they say:

Also you will be able to play online with PC users.

Parental lock system so you can make sure your kids dont play what you say they can play

Always connected to braodband upgrades its safe a lets you know of new games.

You can rent games online no more going out to the video store and not finding what you want.

Also you can purchase the games online also and load them up to your hard drive.

ive seen it but I bet it will never become widespread and I doubt that Wal-Mart will even sell it.

 

I can't remember which magazine I read this in (I think CGM), but I believe they said that this was BS.
Take a look at the web page, if Infinium Labs is planning for a December 2003 launch they should have way more than a couple of crappy 3D rendered pics of the Phantom. If this company was established in 10/2002 and is scheduling a launch of their flagship product that is going to 'redefine' the console gaming world by 12/2003 - 14 months is not a long time when you are creating a product like this from scratch.
Also, December 2003 is comming up awful fast. PS2 was known about for a long time before it actually hit shelves. And imagine how long it would take to download one of those games. If you had broadband you better start the download about 2 days before you want to play the game.
Moral if this story: I wouldn't put too much faith in this.

 

i have looked at the sites bout the phamtom and they do seam to be real. It would take a long time and effort to make all those pages and pics just to trick some people so i think there could be some truth to their claims
