That MEETS the ping limit. It does not eliminate it.
jonroboue and rdhood, thanks! post edited to reflect changes.
You cannot change the ping limit. The limit is 30 and that's it.
Yes for the game discs, but PC to Server to PC Ping CAN be altered.
I would like to know how you would lower the ping limit between 360 and pc. Also I would like to see proof of these 2 ideas.
1. Ping limit is on the disc
2. That the ping limit is actually 30
If your theory is based on putting in a xbox 1 disc then it could be just the 360 handles it differently than a 360 disc. Also if we plan on getting anywhere on these matters we need all the info in one place. If this forumn is to be one of the better ones around then when someone asks a question then someone needs to answer it unless it has been answered numerous times before. We are all after the same goal and that is to play online and have the freedom to do whatever we want.
I just recently brought a new Xbox360 as my other one got banned.
It has an Hitatchi 0079FK Drive, its been flashed just to iXtreme 1.51, But before I had flashed it, every purchased game I inserted was not being read or "disc unreadable" even tho they are perfectly fine...
And from my banned xbox, I have a BenQ VAD6038 which (flashed iX1.6), And I would like to use this in the console that has the Hitatchi drive. I have the Hitatchis DVD Key, but I have no idea how to write it to the BenQ.
Would you guys be able to give me any advice on how to do this? cus im not up for brute forcing the hitatchi drive with the board from the benq, i dont have that sort of equipment...
Good thing you posted this in the leaf thread. I'm sure you'll get a ton of help...
Instead of being an ass to someone for posting in the wrong thread it would have been easier to just point the new guy in the right direction (would have been the same amount of time it took for you to be sacarstic). Also this thread is dead because no one is trying to find ways around the ping limit and leaf doesn't work for 9 out of every 10 that try it. Not everyone has 8mbps internet so this does nothing for them. I am one of them. Negative as you are, I am suprised that anyone even listens to you. You really should take a look at leerage and how he helps people. Thats why he is always being asked for.
1. you'll find the same ping limit on some windows live games like gta4 and universe at war and i think one other i cant remember the name . anyways the ping limit on gta4 is well documented and a bypass has been found but it wont work for xbox. 2. the ping limit is actually in the xbox 360 tos somewhere and it is stated any atempt to bypass this with alternative service would be against the law . thats why xlink kai stopped developement of there ping bypass system . and with the ping being in the game the only way to trick it would be to find it and as its up to publishers where they put it you would have to have access to the original game code of each game you wanted to trick but then that would mean modding the software code which would drop you in a whole world of legal doo-doo
Hey thanks for your pleasant and non abusive response. I have looked through Borderlands as I have stated before and I searched every file in the iso and found one file that had the number 30 in it. It was the lobby file and I edited it with notepad and made it 100. I will behind closed doors of course remake the iso and run it through abgx and see if it will fix it so it will play on my 360 that is banned. I will post my results if they are favorable.
Does anyone know of a iso making software that will make 360 iso?
Also it is not illegal to modify something that you own. It is however illeagal to distibute what you have modified. You can copy all the software you want as long as you do not distribute it.
Hopefully I can report back in the next few days.
Im just talking with respect being rude wont get you anywhere especially in a public forum .But anyways going back to the software issue , If you have one of thoose rare things called an original microsoft xbox 360 game (It took me a while to find one) ,read through the legal disclamer in the manuel you see that we dont actually own the disk what we pay for is a license to play the disk but the developers still own the disk and any software printed on it , So what ever you do in your department Becareful. Im gonna PM you my email ad i would like a copy of your packect report please note what game/games you were playing during your inspection , Im working on something but im not discusing it in a forum.
people have been banned w/o even modding.. by mistake or whatever..MS says FU to all them even if they truly did not mod their system..if this works..big up to leaf
I strongly suspect that there is a standard ping mechanism between the software and the service. The trick is not finding out where they put it in the code, but how to recognize it and establish a local service (probably running on another computer inside your home network) that monitors the LAN and intercepts and returns a pong that the game program will accept and allow the program to continue running.
This looks very similar to the old xlink kai program that's been around for a while. Correct if i am wrong. what's the difference?
yeah it could work but you would need to have a system to decrypt all packets on the fly change the code re-crypt and transmit all this would take all important m seconds creating lag or jittering. That aside doing any modifications like this will en cure the legal wrath of M$ in a big way (they know they can ban flashers and get the to buy new xbox's so they still make money)as if some1 can get it to work they will make xbox live pointless . Also if some1 gets this done if xlink or one of the other services see ppl of 100+ ping playing games you will get booted from the service so they don't get in trouble as well ( xlink kai had threats of legal action when they started a ping bypass program development i don't know how far they got but the project got buried big time i'm sure they mention it in there forums) . sorry for the way this is written ' writing has never been my strong point.
I know this post is kind of old but it sounds like the same thing as XBC (Xbox Connect) and Xlink Kai. Both are 2 diff. programs that link ppl game consoles together on the same networks. Theres tutorials on youtube and google as to how they work but its the same concept as this. All you have to do is go to system link under multi player mode on any game that is being hosted, once you're connected to the server. Toodles (-_-)
Perhaps a noob question but when I try to create a Leaf account, it says "Format of the field Email is wrong. Please input correct the format of e-mail". I'm putting my email as NAME@gmail.com, this is incorrect?
You're doing it right as far as i can see but most ppl gave up on leaf and xlink kai the whole ping limit is too restritive but if you do give it a try good luck "may the swarzch be with you"
I sent an email to them asking what my issue was. I have a friend who lives about 90 miles from me, I was thinking him and I could use this together. But I can't seem to create a Leaf account.
I got a reply to my email, the email address had to be all lower case and it worked.
