well i want to buy a new computer of a dutch site
and it says its got this 3d card
    nVidia GeForce 6200TC supporting 256MB
So i was clicking on More information
and it says Video memory 256 MB right?

So i look at google and it says the card is 128
and some sites it says its 64 MB!?!?!

    So i was wondering

It says 256 MB video memory

If there is a System requirement
for a 256 MB video card

this 3D card can handle the game right??

That card uses system memory to bolster the memory on the videocard itself. Kind of like the old "shared video ram" of old, only the card "takes" a certain amount (like 128-196 MB) of the system memory and uses it ONLY for the videocard. If you have some game that requires a minimum of 256 MB video memory, you will be better off having a videocard that has 256 MB of on-board memory. Not one that "borrows" memory from your motherboard's RAM.

Might be better off if you tell us what your budget is, and what specifically you need it for. Does your card have to be DirectX 9.0c compatible for instance? Geforce 6200 DOES come in a 256 MB version also, but the 6200TC you mentioned has that "shared memory"-type setup.

    Well this is my problem
I want a new computer well I need a new computer
i always buy consoles but this time ive had it with it
always the lens destroyed or something
so i thought of being a pc gamer
    since i REALLY liked MMORPG's

So i was thinking of buying a computer
BUT i dont got that much money In fact im young
So i looked at some order sites in netherlands with my mother and sister and they told me that its better if i bought an computer that i could pay in months

I think you know what i mean

So i was looking and i found a computer with

    3.0 gigahertz
    256MB 3D Card
    1000mb DDR
    And a 160 gb hdd
I loved the computer but the 3d card was RADEON X300 256 mb

but is that 3D shared or Onboard

cuz it says its an RADEON X300 Graphic card from 256MB

    the computer costs 999€
but u can pay in months for 33 €€ but it does not got an TFT monitor but an 19 inch CFT monitor

But it didnt bother me at all about the monitor it was the 3D card
and that computer contained RADEON X300

but i found another one with an TFT monitor exactly the same but a GEFORCE 6200TC card and thats one is shared

so i wanted the one with the radeon but is the radeon card shared also?

    RADEON X300 256MB

this is the site with the specifications

No, that radeon card has 256 MB on the videocard itself. It's not shared.

i think it is a seperate card so not onboard as in intergrated in motherboard but in a slot. if can see backside of case than can tell for certain.

It has a separate 256MB X300 videocard. The video card is plugged in to the motherboard. The 256MB is built in to the videocard. The motherboard has 2 512MB ram modules ( for a total of 1 GB)plugged in to it. The memory is NOT shared.
