i would just like to know if i have got my facts right or if im missing something,perhaps someone can give me an answer. i am thining of buying the starview 3 or Eurovox MAX V. (which do you think its a better quality box,iv heard the newer Eurovox MAX V are not as good.) im in sligo. i have the basic ch***S tv package(15 stations),it comes through a cable from the street.so its probably an analog signal. if i were to get either of these boxs,flash the firmware and then just connect it to the line coming into the house would i be able to get the unscrambled stations,, or do i need to be signed up to a ch***s digital package
You only need to be getting the basic package , but you do need digital available in your area in order to get ALL channels The Eurov0x Max V is a good b0x and easy to use and update
by basic package do you mean,the basic package i have now(15 stations) or do you mean the basic digital package that ch***s offers(100+ stations) the cable coming into the house is probably about 10 years old,could such an old cable be able to carry the digital signal? also iv heard people say the Eurovox MAX V doesn not do wide-screen, but in its specs it says it does?
