Can anyone reccomend a software that can convert music which I have copied from an external audio disk to my hard disk for the purpose of copying from my hard disk to a mobile mp3 player?
Um..... Do you want a program that converts music files to MP3? Or a program to transfer MP3 files to an MP3 player?
Are you audio files WAVs files? MusicMatch JukeBox will and almost any other Mp3 player software. I'm sure Nero does but have never use Nero for audio.
My version Nero 6.6.0.18 has the audio section to encode audio files. Pick target file, output format and the folder for the output. Thats it. I think there is a plug-in with additional formats too although its been quite a while, I can't remember all my tweaks...
Open StartSmart and choose Audio Encode Add your files Choose the Power Lame MP3 enc. you will have to get a SN from Nero for it, it comes free if you have Ultra Edition of Nero, otherwise you have to buy it as a plugin. You do get 30 free uses.
I like it to rip CD's, it will go and get the info from the internet database and then name all the tracks. Use AnyDVD behind it and you can rip protected CD's great.
I've used MusicMatch to do the same thing since it first came out, unlimited upgrades too. In fact I burn my cds with it too. It's a good WAV to mp3 converter.
Never have tried MM since I have had Nero forever and it does the job. But good to know there are other programs that work out well too
