Alright! I got it! for those who want to get your ps2's connected together for lan play and can find out how on the internet!!! Frustrating, I know... Well here you go!! Sorry no pics... 1st: what you need: 2x tv 2x ps2 2x Cat5 cable 1x hub (or just a crossover cable) 2x same game 2nd: plug your cable from the ps2 to the hub, and do the same to the other ps2. 3rd Each playstation needs to set up a network connection, by doing this manually. For example: with ford vs. chevy, go to multiplayer, press lan, then it will ask you to choose you network setting, press "create/edit". This should take you to another screen. Now press edit (if you don't have a network conection already on you memory card then choose add) now keep going till you see where it asks you if you want to set up an ip adress automaticaly or manualy. press manual and go to the next page. Now... for the 1st ps2 put: ip address: 10.10.100.1 netmask: 255.255.255.0 default Router: 255.255.255.0 for the 2nd ps2 put: ip address: 10.10.100.2 netmask: 255.255.255.0 default Router: 255.255.255.0 see how the ip address are slightly different. now if you have more then 2 ps2, just put 10.10.100.3 and so on. now it will ask you to enter a DNS address: Primary DNS: 216.99.193.19 secondary DNS: 216.99.193.2 The DNS will be the same on all ps2. now it will ask to test it, so make sure your cables a connected to the hub. and there you go! have fun! I hope this helped you, and have a very mary christmas! These are the games that I found on a website that can be played on lan. I don't know if this is updated or not... please add any games that aren't listed that are lan capable! Thanks for the lan setup and I need a little more help with Lan play. I have 2 ps2's 3900 series with external network adapters connected directly to each other via a crossover cable. I can start and play Gran Turismo 4 on both TV's but it works for only a short time. The games keep freezing and the connection is disconnected after about 2-4 minutes. I'm not having any other problems with the PS2's or the disks. How can I troubleshoot a disconnected lan connection when I'm only using a crossover cable?
