A/V to USB on Laptop question

    Is there a way to convert Audio/Video cables to USB? I really don't feal like paying $70.00 for one from an internet shop. I only need to retrieve 5 home movies from my 8mm camcorder tapes. Any help would be appriciated!

    I don't think so. You still can get a cheap capture device for around $50. I bought a good one in ebay for that price.
