I'm using Nero 7 ...Just started burning last week with no problems..
However, when I reviewed some of my burnt movies in the Dvd player..I noticed a quarter inch thick glossy line across the bottom of the film.(barely noticeable)
I figured out that it was only happening to the movies that were over sized.
Also, when asked "would you like to compromise the quality to make room for the burn" it resizes it to just past 3 instead of 4 the max allowance.
So what is going on here? What am I missing.
All I can say is that all movies that we're under 2 hours seem to be fine.
    Please help!

Try using DVD Shrink and see if you get the same results.
    Burn with ImgBurn.

    Thanks for ur prompt reply...
I'm not having a problem shrinking the video file to fit...I mean nero does that for me right?
I guess I'm looking for someone who has experience with this type of problem. and could explain what's actually happening so I can try something new.
Just to clarify ...no problem burning an over sized film...just has a weird watery/glossy quarter inch thick line across the bottom through the entire movie during play back on my Dvd player.

That's why I suggested what I did. This is to find out if the problem is with Nero or not.

Actually bilbo65, I just wanted to know what the cause was and if anyone has experience this before.
download links to programs that I'm unfamiliar with, mean nothing to me if I don't know what the problem possibly could be.
I'm new to this and appreciate all advice.

I thought that was pretty clear when I said Try using DVD Shrink and see if you get the same results.
When opening with DVD Shrink, click on the VIDEO_TS folder that has your video files. They are DVD compliant files are they not?

    @ dialysis1
Why not suggest something new like DVD Shrink and ImgBurn? I guess maybe being a Senior Member doesn't give you enough experience.:p

I think maybe you're wasting your time, dialysis1, and I don't have enough experience to offer any constructive advice.....:)

This may be out of my league as well as dialysis1 and bilbo65.

No no no fellow Sr's...we may not know enough to offer any help here.

Perhaps we should try something different, like DVD43 and some crappy CMC-MAG's.

p.s. (to the OP) i think anyone with 'experience' would've suggested the same thing.

I think ferguj1 was trying to make a joke, but it backfired. Seems to go along with how today has been.

Thank you rtm27 for catching that. And I sincerely apologize to dialysis1 (or any other seniors if they took offense), I was trying to make light of the situation. I did read your post, perhaps I should have referenced it as well in mine. I have nothing but the utmost respect.

    Sorry guys,
I just didn't understand the need for 2 more programs...so, I just deleted Nero 7 ( an obvious problem with 1 of my settings) So,
I downloaded Nero 8 vision, and it's works like a dream!

    Thanks again!
    Jay
