Recently I found a way to boot load burnt games with a game shark and various household implements. In the process I accidently removed the silver ribbon connecting the power button / open tray to the system. After dissasembling the system and fixing that I found that I had moved the small white cog that determines the laser tray height or whatever. After rotating that cog all the way around untill I consistently got a disc read error msg....but thats it. Help is much appreciated.

Rotate them to around 11 oclock. See if that helps.

Yeah I think I'm think of the wrong thing anyway. I'm thinking of the cogs on either side of the laser that move it forward and back, not the cog that determines angle and height.
