So I'm very happy with my HD DVD player despite the fact that Toshiba just lost. However, when i use it to upconvert my SD DVDs the video intermittently lags behind the sound. If i push stop and play again the film everything goes back to normal, but it can happen two to three times during the course of one film. I was just wondering if anyone might know how to fix this.

Just out of curiosity, what FW do you have installed on your A3? Also, what type of cables are you using for video and audio? If you have older FW installed, try installing the latest and see if that corrects the problem. I had the same problem before and I updated to the 2.0 FW and I haven't seen anymore sync issues.

I saw the problem on HD DVD discs, not SD.

Ok I'll try to update the firmware. As for the cables, I'm using HDMI, however i will admit they were cheap ones. Whether that matters or not i do not know.

Nah, doesn't matter. A 6 dollar HDMI cable will perform just as well as a 100 dollar cable as long as it's certified.

    Using a 1.3a cable?
